Hi, my name is James Boyden. This is my website.
Here is a photo of me scanned from an expired ID card. I call it my “looking hopefully into the future” shot. I like it, because it makes me look young and idealistic, like maybe some sort of a visionary.
Sometimes when I look at this image, I like to imagine I'm standing on the edge of a cliff with the wind blowing through my hair. I like to imagine I'm standing there, with my shawl wrapped around me, looking out over the ocean below, thinking about something very deep and very sad. I like to imagine I'm feeling pensive. I don't know what pensive means, but I like to imagine it anyway. I try not to think about the reason the photo turned out like this, which was because I was looking at the wrong part of the camera. That tends to spoil the mood, I find.
I'm a programmer from Sydney, Australia. My hobbies include spending long, thankless hours in front of a computer and not getting enough sleep. Sometimes I pray for the sweet release of death, but I haven't had so much luck with that yet. (I'll keep you posted.)
